Long-term local
My family moved to Los Altos Hills from Iowa when I was 6. After a brief post-college stint in the city, I’ve lived in Palo Alto and Woodside since grad school. I have a wonderful wife, five children ages 18 to 24, and two dogs - an Australian Labradoodle named Zeus, and a Great Pyrenees mix named Pluto.
Solid foundation
I attended Los Altos High School and then earned a degree in electrical engineering from Stanford where I also lettered in Rugby. I went to grad school at UCLA where I earned an MBA. For my career, I was an operating executive focused on driving growth at multiple local software startups. I’m skilled at leadership, collaboration and problem solving.
Building community
Connecting people is one of my major passions. I am an active Stanford alumni and Stanford athletics supporter. My family has loved being part of the Sacred Heart Schools community. We are so thankful for our amazing neighbors and friends all over Woodside.
Neighborhood advocate
I am the president of the Moore Road Management Association, which is focused on providing services and building community for Woodside’s beautiful Moore Road community. I have partnered with the presidents of the Woodside Hills and Woodside Heights homeowners associations to advocate and solve problems for the approximately 1/3 of Woodside Residents who live in Woodside East of 280.
Circulation Committee
On the Town’s Circulation Committee, I have worked on dozens of projects that have improved the roadways, pathways, infrastructure and public safety across Woodside. I’ve taken a leadership role working with Town Staff and Caltrans executives to ensure the success of multi million dollar beautification and safety projects all over town.
TCAP Advisory Committee
On the Town Center Area Plan Citizens Advisory Committee, I’ve been making sure that our 25-year vision for Woodside Town Center retains our rural and equestrian heritage while evolving Woodside Town Center into an even more valuable and attractive resource for our residents, with a particular focus on building community, broadening retail services and improving traffic flow, walkability and parking.
